Questions you probably have

Really. The battery pays for itself through tariff arbitrage – charging when electricity is cheap (overnight) and discharging when it's expensive (daytime). Solar is a nice bonus if you have it, but it's not required. Most of our customers don't have panels.

Every Habo Energy order includes professional installation by an MCS certified installer. If you'd prefer to use your own electrician, that's fine too – we include detailed instructions and offer phone support.

Any time-of-use tariff with cheap overnight rates works. Octopus Go (9.5p overnight) is the most popular. Economy 7 works too. Intelligent Octopus Go offers even cheaper rates but requires a compatible EV. The battery works with any of these tariffs out of the box.

Typically around 5 years for a battery-only setup. After that, you're saving ~£900 per year, every year. The battery is warrantied for 10 years and designed to last 15+.
