On the current Octopus Go 12-month fixed tariff (GO-FIX-12M-26-09-29, region H, checked 10 October 2026), households in Southern England pay 35.5099p/kWh during the day and 9.5p/kWh overnight (00:30–05:30), with a standing charge of 47.47p/day. The off-peak rate is the same across all regions; the daytime rate varies.

About Southern England

Southern England benefits from some of the best solar irradiance in the UK, with a housing stock of larger detached and semi-detached homes providing ample roof space. The area between Southampton and Reading has some of the fastest EV adoption rates in the country, strengthening the case for battery storage to manage combined solar and EV charging loads.
